Visit Store Dyrehave<\/h2>\n

However, it is actually a world-class cultural landscape.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Great Deer Park is a public forest with unrestricted access for all. The area boasts several interesting cultural features \u2013 from stone walls built by Christian IV that surround the forest to the advanced system of par force hunting rides. You can hike, ride, run, cycle and much more in the Great Deer Park, so there is ample opportunity to come and experience this World Heritage area.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

In Store Dyrehave, information boards are located by the entrances on Overdrevsvej, Ister\u00f8dvejen and K\u00f8benhavnsvej. Here, you will find maps, texts and brochures, which will guide you through the par force hunting landscape in Store Dyrehave.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Arriving by car:<\/strong><\/h6>\n

You can park at Overdrevsvej, Ister\u00f8dvejen and K\u00f8benhavnsvej (see the map).[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Arriving by train:<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Take the S-train or local train to Hiller\u00f8d Station. See the timetables here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From Hiller\u00f8d Station it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Store Dyrehave.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Accommodation:<\/strong><\/h6>\n

There are numerous accommodation options in the vicinity of\u00a0Store Dyrehave\u00a0\u2013 whether you prefer camping or luxury hotels.<\/p>\n

Camping is permitted in most of the Store Dyrehave and one primitive camp site. Find it on the map at www.udinaturen.dk <\/a>(in Danish).<\/p>\n

Cycling:<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Cycling is permitted on all paths and forest roads, but not on the forest floor or down slopes, on stone walls or on burial mounds.<\/p>\n

If you want to try your hand at mounting biking, you can rent a bike at Sponz MTB Center, which is located a few kilometres from the Great Deer Park.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

There are numerous good hiking routes in Store Dyrehave. You can find maps and information about the routes on www.udinaturen.dk<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Horseback riding<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Riding is permitted along the verges and in the middle of the forest roads and on the forest floor where there are tall trees.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
